Jennifer is a New Jersey Native and World Traveler with a lifelong passion for helping others. Fortunate to know from a young age that she wanted to be a therapist, she started by obtaining her undergraduate degree at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA and majored in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies in 2004.

 

She then returned to NJ to obtain her Masters Degree in Social Work from Monmouth University and graduated in 2006. Jennifer began her career working with children providing individual and group therapy and assisted in launching a children’s IOP before becoming a certified school social worker.

 

After obtaining the highest level of social work licensure in 2009, Jennifer expanded her work to include adults by working in the crisis unit at local emergency rooms and then an adult inpatient psychiatric unit. She was then asked to join a local outpatient treatment program for teens where she quickly became a Clinical Coordinator for an Adolescent Program.

 

In 2012 Jennifer moved to Hawaii and became a Clinical Director for a large non-profit agency servicing homeless veterans, and later moved to Germany in 2014 where she became a first time and full time mom and volunteered her services with the Army’s Family Advocacy Program in her spare time.

 

2017 brought Jennifer back to her roots in NJ where she spent two years working in private practices in Red Bank and Manasquan, as well as working with elderly clients in a local Assisted Living and PACE Program, before opening Coastal Counseling & Healing Center in July 2019.
